La Moneda, Chile’s presidential palace in the capital city of Santiago, was bombarded by Chilean military planes during Pinochet’s coup of September 11, 1973.

Chilean president Sebastián Piñera apparently received a kindergarden class at his office in La Moneda today. The kids were dressed up as ex-presidents and other people from Chilean history. These two came as Salvador Allende and Augusto Pinochet.

3-year project in Santiago that explored the limits of what could be said and done during the dictatorship: Signs around the city invited people to express their opinions about happiness, and these opinions were later gathered in an installation at the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Santiago.
